Let’s make something clear. As a result of royal protocol, Meghan Markle was not given any of the clothes she wore during her first pregnancy.
When she was pregnant with Archie, the Duchess of Sussex, together with her team, went shopping organically for her maternity wardrobe. This made her appearance in HATCH much more exciting and significant for its CEO, Ariane Goldman.
The first sighting happened in January 2019. Then, the Duchess wore the Eliza Dress (retail price = $228) and Gianvito Rossi pumps with cow prints on a Smart Works visit.
For her baby shower a month later, she wore HATCH’s Nearly Skinny Maternity Jeans (retail price = $248) with a 1965 Haute Couture cloak gotten from William Vintage. The Eliza dress was more significant because it was the first dress she publicly wore after announcing her pregnancy.
